Giancarlo "Jack" Russo

Born 31 July 1930, lives in Milano, he Jack Russo agli East End Studiosis an insurance broker. He started playing banjo in Milano in 1950/51 with the "Original Lambro Jazz Band"Jack Russo for 6 to 7 years. Then, for more than 25 years until 1996, he was the leader of the "Milano Jazz Gang" (inspired by the Lu Watters J.B.)  that played three times at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee. In 1997, he established with Claudio Perelli and Paolo Gaiotti the new "Milano Hot Jazz Orchestra". He plays Vega "Deluxe" 1927 tenor banjo and Epiphone "Grand Concert" 1930 tenor banjo.
